Beautiful Italian glass bowl hand-made of colorful canes and real silver leaf encased in crystal and creamy amber.
Made by the AVEM factory, who employed many famous glass artists of the time. Distributed/exported through Vetro Artistico Veneziano.
Made for use as an ashtray but it has multiple purposes. This bowl can also be used a serving dish with spoon rests, catch-all, flower bowl, or just sitting on your coffee table and looking pretty.
Weighs in at 2.7 lbs. Measures 9½ inches round and 2 inches tall. Large deep bowl with level hand-tooled cradle rest. In excellent condition, with light bottom-wear scratches on the polished flat base. Bottom-wear is expected on old heavy glass objects. This occurs from scraping against the surface it is sitting on for years. It can’t be seen unless looked for.
