Mid-century art glass ashtray with remnant of original Fratelli Toso label. Fratelli Toso was a family run glassworks operating between 1854 and 1982 in Venice, Italy.
Expertly crafted by hand, blown in sommerso (two colors together) cherry red and colorless. Trapped within the glass are intentional bubbles.
In like-new condition. Partial original Toso label remains, see images. Measures 4.5" long, 3.75" wide, 1.5" deep and weighs 2.6 lbs.

Deep Cherry Red Mid-Century Art Glass Ashtray by Italy’s Infamous Fratelli Toso Glassworks

Mid-century art glass ashtray with remnant of original Fratelli Toso label. Fratelli Toso was a family run glassworks operating between 1854 and 1982 in Venice, Italy.

Expertly crafted by hand, blown in sommerso (two colors together) cherry red and colorless.  Trapped within the glass are intentional bubbles. Two deep cradle rests formed by hand tool.  Fashionable mid-century art glass clam shell form.
