Because this attempt at Jewish humor was made in 1950s Japan. It is kinda funny. The kid is backed up against the wall, protecting his u-know-what from a kind looking doctor with a knife…a Yiddish Clipper.. hidden behind his back.
This amusing cartoon ashtray is made of porcelain trimmed in real gold. The cartoon in the center is a transfer. It’s in very good condition with no damage. The gold trim, which tends to wear off over the years is still 99% present. The cartoon colors are still vibrant and bright. No crazing or scratching. Over 50 years old. Made in Japan sticker still resides on center of raised base. Measures 5.25″ wide and 3/4″ tall. Two large, slanted rests.
