Murano art glass handblown ashtray bowl in dark sky blue and opaque lattimo (white).
The interior has three internal decor effects. The blue glass was spiraled, intentional bubbles where concentrically trapped within the glass, and a light spattering of silver aventurine brings sparkle.
This is a medium-size ashtray. Hand-tooled ¾ inch long, ¾ inch wide v-rests will accommodate small cigars, cigs and smaller smokes. This ashtray is also perfect for pipe resting. Nice deep bowl, stands 2½ inch tall.
In perfect condition. Measures 5½ inch long, 5½ inch wide. Weighs ¾ pound. Sits on a polished flat base with fairly heavy bottom-wear for lightweight ashtray. This means it is very old. Bottom-wear accumulates over the years and can indicate age. Lighter items with heavy bottom-wear have been sitting on surfaces for many, many years. Estimated age 1940s – 1950s.
