Beautiful art work. Vintage copper with gold and green enamel decor. Made by Bovano of Cheshire, Connecticut USA in the late 1940s to early 1950s. Note the “Conn.” state abbreviation on the label. Both items have original labels.
The ashtray is solid copper with black enamel on the base and green/gold raised decor on the face. The enamel decor has a layer of clear finish on top to protect the surface from burn marks. The lighter was made from Walnut or Teak wood with panels of enamel decor. Also has felt on the base. Sparks, but will need fluid. The high-end brass hardware has a nice golden patina. Lighter mechanism is marked “Made in U.S.A., PAT 2,723.547. In perfect condition.
