Set of two mid-20th century Murano art glass cased occasional bowls with original label.
One bowl retains remnants of original blue and silver label. Can make out words “…in Murano Italy”. The label originally read “Genuine Venetian Glass, Made in Murano Italy”. Hand blown and tooled with graduating trapped air bubbles. Made by a fine Italian glassmaker.
Made of amethyst glass with a colorless casing that glows bright green under blacklight due to Uranium content. The color, uranium content, decor and label dates this set to the 1950s. Each measure 5″ wide, 2″ deep and weigh 1 lb. Round bowl has a large cradle, perfect for cigars. Triangle shape bowl works well as a pipe-bowl, stash bowl, or snack bowl.
