Set of four unused Venetian art glass ashtrays with aventurine and monochrome décor in ebony black glass. Three ashtrays still retain the original Weil sticker. All appear unused.
Weil was an importer of Italian glass based in California and New York circa 1950s. They imported glass designed by famous mid-century Italian glass artists of the day. These art ashtrays are embossed ‘Italy’ on the base.
The copper aventurine glitters and glows among the swirls of yellow frit in opaque black glass. Small ashtrays for that special smoke. Beautiful and functional as candleholders and incense burners. Measures 3.5” at widest with a 2.75” round bowl, 1 inch tall.
