Big fat ashtray for our Senators made of 3lbs quality Fostoria crystal. Perfect for your ‘Board Room’.
Circa 1950s-1960s. Appears unused. Beautiful thick crystal reflects the colors around it. The United States Senate seal is acid-etched into the glass on the center platform. The platform is where the Senators would roll their big fat cigars to remove ash. This ashtray features dual rests. Each of the four rests has two resting sizes, one for small smokes and an upper for cigars. Perfect for the board
Fostoria was a major U.S. maker of elegant glass from 1897 to 1896. They had a contract with the government and made ashtrays like this in different shapes and colors. Measures 7.5 inches round and 1.5 inches tall. Weighs 3lbs. Deep bowl to catch and retain the debris. Note: image #3 shows the seat of the ashtray.
