Description
Sandwich glass ashtray made by Indiana Glass Company and distributed under their Tiara Exclusives line.
Produced around the 1970s. The term ‘Sandwich’ refers to lacy swirls of scrolls and flowers which were pattern motifs from the Boston & Sandwich Glass Company in the 1800s. The pattern on this ashtray is a vintage reproduction of an antique lacey pattern style. It features an intricate, embossed daisy and floral scroll motif set against a heavily stippled background, finished in a warm amber or “desert gold” glass color.
Measures 7.5″ round and is in like-new condition. The form of this ashtray enhances its function. An inner ring with 4-slots surrounded by a wide rim allows for resting of any size smoke, holding it level during resting, and drops the ash straight into the receiving bowl. Wide ledge provides space for lighter, other paraphernalia and incense sticks.
Perfect for your next Garden Party!
