Hand-made redware pottery with enameled earth tone tiles.
Made in the 1950’s. This beautiful large ashtray is made of “redware”, a very old pottery recipe or red clay. Hand Signed 858 Italy. Measures 7.75″ square and 1.75″ tall. Weighs 2 lbs.
The pottery squares are raised and decorated with bright enamel. The enamel was hand applied and is not precise to the squares. There is no damage to the enamel, it is as it was meant to be by the artist.
