American Eagle decor on a massive cigar ashtray.
Massive. Weighs 6 lbs. Measures 10″ wide, 2″ deep. Big enough for parties, patios and big fat cigar smoking Senators. Made in the 1940s-1950s. The glass has straw marks on the bottom caused by an old-fashioned method of cooling. A trapped air bubble (inside the glass) resides in the center, this is also a result of old-fashioned glass making methods.
The beautiful green color virtually glows with the varying thickness of the glass. The seat is embossed with an eagle and stars. Pressed deeply into glass from the backside. Inner surface is smooth and slightly raised from the deep intaglio on the seat. In excellent condition. Hand finished, no seams, quality glass.
