Description
Ruby art glass ashtray hand-formed by Rainbow Art Glass in the mid-20th century. Pontil scar on base marks the point where the glassmaker’s punty rod was removed from the object. Decorated with a slight and shallow crackle on the base achieved by dipping hot glass form in water before cooling. The crackle provides a glitter to the surface.
Provides three large rests measuring nearly 1 inch wide. Suitable for cigars. Measures 8.75 inches at widest with a 2.25-inch-deep slanted bowl. In excellent condition.
