Description
Rossini mid-20th century Italian ashtray made with local clay and handpainted. Hand signed and numbered on the seat with ‘Italy, T (over indecipherable number). Original label “Rossini Originals Hand Decorated Italy”.
This ashtray was the palette of a studio artist. But it’s still an ashtray. New owner can steam the label off the front of the ashtray and apply it to the base while still warm. Because half the fun is using it for its intended purpose. Smashing your smoke or burning incense or candles will ruin the label if not relocated. The ashtray has a final clear glaze protecting the artwork.
It is in 100% original condition, never used. Made in the 1950’s to 1960s. Hand-made with local clay. Measures 8 inches square and just over an inch tall.
Note: When using modern candles with objects like this, always remove any metal present on the candle before burning.
