Vintage retro modern studio art pottery ashtray made in the USA in the 1950s – 1960s.
Features innovative long tunnel rests that will accommodate cigars, cigarettes, smaller smokes, and incense. Long, level and raised above the ash surface. Side-notches provide the perfect rest for those little smokes.
Measures 9½” long, 7½” wide and stands a little over 1″ tall. Marked ‘USA” on the base. Hand-made. In great condition. Glaze is bright and without crazing. On one edge, the maker has missed an area of glazing. This is called a ‘maker’s miss’ and is often found on hand-made studio pottery of the era. No chips or cracks.
Soothing earth-tone colors in tan, browns and cream go with most decor.
