Description
Eames Era Italian designed ashtray with label.
Very scarce relic of the era of supreme engineering. This ashtray incorporates the modernistic styling, with emphasis on functionality and quality.
Raymor was a very popular Italian decorative arts supplier. The “Jenfred-ware” line included many functional, decorative items made of heavy plated metal. Features a nifty multi-sized steel rest for smokes of all sizes. It’s edges curled up assist with keeping the ashes in. Sits firmly on a flat base. The sales pitch for the Jenfred-ware line was “Modern in the tradition of good taste”.
Measures 6″ x 4″, stands 1″ tall. Felt on bottom has shrunk with age, shrinking the original label with it. About 60 to 70 years old. Weighs 2.25 lbs, doesn’t budge easily. This rare beauty is worth restoration.
