Rare Pintail Drake Decoy ashtray in Nile Green by Blenko Art Glass circa 1970s.
Nearly 6 pounds of chunky hand-made glass, big enough for all the duck hunters at the party. The cigar shown below is 6″ long. This ashtray can rest at least six cigars. Great for smaller smokes, candles, incense, etc. too. Has six deep rests that floats cigars and snuggles cigarettes.
In beautiful Nile Green, a scarce color. The ‘Block B’ Blenko sticker is still attached, you can see it in image 1 at top just right of center. The sticker looks very small on this big retro ashtray.
The glass was furnace heated, then pressed into the Drake mold. The surface is smooth, slightly raised. Wide flat ledges and deep, ample bowl. Raised above the surface with a seat ring. Outstanding ashtray made by one of America’s best glass blowing houses during the early 1970s. Measures 11½” long, 10″ wide and 1.75″ tall. Huge.
