Blenko’s rich pink color called Rose was produced between 1963 and 1964 only.
The ashtray is shown in Blenko’s archived catalogs as part number 632 (9 inch). According to Blenko’s numbering system, this form was the second design of 1963. This ashtray was produced for only two years (1963 and 1964) in the Blenko Rose color and was made in two sizes; 6 inch and 9½ inch.
Well-designed ashtray has a 2 inch deep curving bowl to help catch and keep the ashes. This ashtray measures just under 9½ inch wide. Four ½ inch wide hand-tooled rests taper down for a firm grip on the smoke. Flat, ¾ inch wide ledge provides accessory area. Weighs 2½ lbs.
Can accommodate large cigars on down to the smallest smokes. Also useful for incense sticks and pipe resting. Deep ridges run horizontally on the exterior. The ash receiver bowl is smooth with a slight depression in the center which can double as a 3 inch wide candle holder. NOTE: remove all metal parts attached to the candle, including wick holders on the base, before burning on vintage glass.
A very special ashtray.
