Exotic oriental deep bowl ashtray with real gold decor.
This beautiful porcelain ash bowl was decorated with matte black enamel and real gold. The decoration was applied by hand. Eames era modernist oriental garden design. It is in very good condition with no damage. The gold paint, which tends to fade over the years is 99.99% present.
Made in China or Japan. Maker’s mark is on the base. We estimate its age to be about 50 to 60 years. Extra deep bowl to keep the mess in. Large, slightly slanted rim. Three large rests. Care should be taken not to extinguish smokes on the decor. Measures 6.5″ wide and 2″ deep.
