Hard to find, especially as a set, Viking Art Glass Horseshoe ashtrays.
Shown in the 1960 Viking catalog, part no. 996. Colors are amethyst, amber gold, charcoal (rare color) and emerald green. Called ‘Horseshoe’. The elliptical shape resembles something like a horseshoe, but was derived from the space age decor tastes of the time. Perfect for parties.
Single rests will balance cigars, and will hold cigarettes or smaller. Each measure 3.5″ long, 3.25″ wide, 1.5″ at tallest and weigh ½ lb. Will double as candleholders, incense burners, etc.
