Mid-century modern designed ashtray, perfect in form and function. Hefty deep 10 finger ashtray made by Viking Art Glass. Viking introduced this vibrant regal blue glass color called Bluenique in 1958. Made of thick glass. In low light it appears almost black. In normal lighting is glows like a dark blue jewel.
Ashtray weighs 2lbs. Measures 6 inches by 4.75 inches oval and 2.25 inches deep. In excellent condition with a solid thin line of bottom-wear on the seat. Old heavy glass items normally show bottom-wear, it is not damaged and is considered a reliable sign of age. Ten Rests are deep, level and .25 inches wide. Deep bowl retains the mess. Good for pipe resting too.
