Mesmerizing Mid-20th Century Italian / Murano art glass creation with three rests and deep bowl. Made by the hand of an Italian glass artist for the elegant modernist decor of the 1950’s.
Large cigar bowl. Cased in clear, light blue, lattimo (Italian for milk colored glass) with a layer of silver flake and murine decor. Heavy, thick glass weighs 2 lbs. Base is polished flat with bottom-wear (tiny scratches on the base caused by years of surface contact friction). In excellent condition. Measures 6.25″ at widest and 2.5″ tall.
Over 60 years ago, when this beauty was made, ash bowls were created to have dual purposes. When not in ash service you can use it for decor, catch-all, candle holder, incense, etc.
