Kosta Boda Glass Ice Castle cigar ashtray. Space-age minimalist satin frosted crystal from Sweden.
The label dates this awesome Kosta bowl to the 1950s – 1960s. Bottom-wear is minimal. Intact label reads “Kosta Boda Sweden Hand Made”.
Dense clear, quality crystal. The frosted finish was achieved by an acid wash. The effect is a perfect eye treat…looks just like space age ice. It is semi-opaque which diffuses the light, making it appear to glow.
Measures 6″ wide, 1.75″ tall. Very heavy, weighs 3.25 lbs. Rare find. Single large rest designed for big cigars and little smokes.
