Made by Erickson Art Glass, established by Carl Erickson who immigrated to America from Sweden.
This beautiful hand-made art glass ashtray was made in the late 1950s to early 1960s. Made with mossy smoke olive/black cased glass with internal intentional bubbles and a half-moon polished pontil mark. The outer casing is colorless.
Made in the Swedish Modern style with flowing free-form lines. The outer rim on the base is polished flat and shows adequate bottom-wear for it’s age. Three wide rests can handle cigars and smaller smokes. Top rim folds inward to provide some shielding against flying ash.
Classy ashtray. Perfect for mid-century Swedish modern decors. Measures 6″ round and 2″ deep. Weighs 2 lbs.
