Viking Art Glass tri-corner ashtray in rarely seen Ebony color.

This classic big ashtray has the perfect form for the discerning cigar smoker. Wide, level cradle rests with spacious spacing. Holds your smoke well above the ash receiving surface. Level rests promote even burning.

We’ve seen many of these triangular cigar ashtrays made by Viking Art Glass in the 1940’s through the 1960’s. They are discovered in many bright and beautiful colors. This is the first we’ve seen (in 20 years) in the opaque black Ebony color. The glass is not really black, it is either very dark purple or more likely very dark red. It appears to be solidly black. Possibly made by New Martinsville Glass, which changed its name to Viking Art Glass in the mid-1940’s.

It is in great condition for being approx. 75 years old. No chips or cracks. There is slight ash surface wear which can be seen in the images.
Measures 8½” long on each of three sides, 2″ tall.  Weighs  3½ pounds. Thick sturdy, high quality glass.
