Blenko big bubble ashtray #508 in scarce color called Sea Green. Sea Green was produced between 1962 and 1964 only.
Beautiful Blenko Art Glass bubble ashtray in rare color Sea Green, produced in 1962 to 1964.
This lovely Blenko glass artifact was blown from a molten gather of glass with internal air pockets hand-inserted by pin. The three smoke rests were accomplished by hand-tool.

Due to the weight and age, the polished flat ring base has a full, solid band of bottom-wear. Bottom-wear naturally occurs over many years of contact with the surfaces the ashtray sits upon. It is expected in vintage and antique glass. It is not considered damage.

Blenko’s big bubble ashtray #508 in scarce color called Sea Green. Sea Green was produced between 1962 and 1964 only.

Beautiful heavy blown glass ashtray from the early 1960’s. Hand-crafted  in West Virginia, USA by Blenko Art Glass. Blenko is one of America’s best and last studio oriented glass house with extreme heat furnaces.

This lovely Blenko glass artifact was blown from a molten gather of glass with internal air pockets hand-inserted by pin. The three smoke rests were accomplished by hand-tool.

Weighs 3.6 pounds! Measures 6½” round and 2½” tall.

Shown in 1962 through 1964 Blenko catalogs in the Sea Green color. This ashtray is approximately 56 years old. Due to the weight and age, the polished flat ring base has a full, solid band of bottom-wear. Bottom-wear naturally occurs over many years of contact with the surfaces the ashtray sits upon. It is expected in vintage and antique glass. It is not considered damage. Bottom-wear cannot be seen unless the ashtray is turned upside down. It is a good sign of age.

The glass is clean and brilliant and there are no chips, cracks, or bumps. Super condition! Makes an excellent cigar ashtray, but works just as great for smaller smokes and pipes. Nice, deep, curved bowl allows your smoke to rest well above the ash-well surface and helps to keep the mess contained.
