Large and Lovely Vintage Italian Glass Ashtray with Gold Aventurine

This vintage Italian glass ashtray features dimensional bubbles and real gold veils encased in aqua blue and colorless glass. Hand-made by a master of the craft in 1950's Italy.

Big vintage Italian glass ashtray weighs in at nearly 3 lbs, with a 2.5″ deep bowl and one large cradle rest and 2 smaller rests.  The large rest accommodates cigars, the two rests on either side of the large rest are great for smaller smokes and pipes.

Look closely at the bubbles embedded in the glass.  There are bubbles in two dimensions of the glass layers.  This is uncommon.  Normally the bubbles are encased in one layer.  Glitters of encased gold aventurine shine throughout.  The aventurine is hard to capture in images.  There is more gold than meets the eye of the camera.

In like new condition with light bottom-wear present (caused by years of surface contact and expected on vintage glass).  Measures 8″ long, 6.5″ at widest.[color-box]More About Italian, Murano, Venetian Glass[/color-box]
