Description
Hand-crafted Hippie ashtray from the lazy and hazy days of the 1960’s to 1970’s.
Very large table pottery centerpiece with a mind-blowing shape and grotto decor glaze. Measures 13″ at longest and 8¼” at widest. Ash surface is 1¼ deep.
Marked ‘Nonamax Calif (copyright symbol) TR33 USA on base. Base has a raised ridge seat to keep the ashtray above the surface elements.
Center rest bar sports 6 V rests. Wide outer ledge allows for balancing cigars, incense sticks, etc. Plenty of room for paraphernalia.
In excellent vintage condition. The mossy green glaze has crazed a bit from age but this does not effect the beauty or integrity of the ashtray. Crazing reveals old age in most glazed potteries. No cracks or chips. Color is vivid.
