Large Hippie party ashtray made of stoneware in the U.S.A.
Big Hippie party ashtray with room for all kinds of smokes and paraphernalia. Made of vintage stoneware and glazed in browns, blues and cream. Circa 1970’s.
The wide ledge decor was hand-carved before firing. The ledge provides room for incense, lighters, etc. and provides rest support for very large smokes like cigars. The center rest ring sports seven V-rests, tapered to secure thin smokes to fat smokes.
Weighs 2.10 lbs, measures 9″ round and 1.5″ tall. Four felt tabs were placed on the base to protect the surface on which it sits. Marked by the maker on Treasure Craft, Made in the U.S.A., No. 411 on the seat. In perfect condition.
[color-box]Treasure Craft was founded in 1945 by Alfred Levin in Gardenia, California as a distributor of local handmade pottery. By the early 1950’s the company was manufacturing its own ceramics.
