Made by Erickson Art Glass, established by Carl Erickson who immigrated to America from Sweden.
These beautiful Swedish Modern forms, with intentional bubbles expertly placed within two layers of glass, were made during the 1950’s and 1960’s in the USA. What makes this ashtray pair so unusual is that they are not large. Normally these ashtrays are large. This set is just small enough to travel in palm hand. They are not tiny, just smaller than normally seen. Each measure approximately 4″ square, 1.5″ tall and weigh 1/2 pound. The shape and size vary just slightly because they were made by hand.
In beautiful condition. Vintage Swedish Modern style. Appear unused. Hand-made by a fine glass artist of the mid-20th century. Polished flat bottom ring. They are unsigned. Pontil scar has been polished to a concave moon. Lovely and glamorous.
