Authentic vintage slag glass resembles marble. This stunning slag glass ashtray also resembles a ham bone. It’s a beautiful chocolate marble ham bone ashtray.
The original form designer and manufacturer, Cambridge Glass, called the shape ‘Ham Bone’. The subsequent maker, Imperial Glass, purchased Cambridge patterns after they shut down production. Imperial Glass is famous for it’s beautiful striated ‘Slag’ glass. This most interesting conversation starter was designed in the 1930’s by Cambridge and produced in the 1970’s by Imperial Glass, both US makers, both now out of business.
The perfect ashtray for mid-century modern psychedelic enthusiasts. But it’s pleasing chocolate and cream colors go well with most color schemes.
