Big retro modernist ashtray with slanted elliptic styling and deep bowl.
Hand-made by Viking Art Glass in the 1960’s to 1970’s. In excellent condition. Large heavyweight modernist ashtray.
Heavy thick glass, weighs 3 lbs. Measures 4.25″ tall, 5.6″ wide, and 6″ long. Larger than it looks, see image with large peach to illustrate size. Has one deep tapered cradle rest, holds small smokes firmly, high above the well surface.
Base is stylized tripod form with bottom-wear on the three surface contacts. Bottom-wear indicates age, cannot be seen unless looked for, and is not considered damage. Can double as a catch-all, candle holder, incense burner or flower bowl. Stunning on the end-table.
