Early metal ashtray with colonial type man smoking a long antique pipe.
Raised decor of a man with long receding hair, long nose, high collar and wide cuff. He’s smoking a long pipe with a stabilizer on the bottom of the bowl. Decor is indicative of the Civil War era. This ashtray was made in the 1850s – 1890s.
Made by Bradley and Hubbard once located in Connecticut, USA. The company produced metal utilitarian and decor objects between 1852 and 1940. Exceptional artwork, very interesting piece. Handcrafted.
