Description
Nearly 7 pounds of genuine mid-century vintage Swedish crystal. This is quality glass, made in the days when crystal contained lead.
The organic style cracked décor was accomplished by pressing the molten glass into a clay or wood mold. Using clay or wood allowed the artists to engrave intricate designs, but these molds did not survive long due to the high heat of the glass.
Retains it’s original label from Pukeberg. Pukeberg is a Swedish glass house boasting famous designers like Eva Englund (1964 – 1973) and Erik Hoglund (1970s). We believe this beautiful tray was made in the 1960s or 1970s.
There are no ‘rests’. Instead we have a 1.5″ thick level ledge to balance the smoke above the well. The design allows for diversity of use. There’s plenty of room for incense and/or paraphernalia. Can double as a beautiful fruit or nut bowl, centerpiece, candle holder, etc.. Measures 9″ wide, 2″ tall, with a girth of 28″. In like-new condition.
