Atomic Era Decor Ashtray with Real Abalone Shell
Made in the late 1950’s to late 1960’s in Atomic Era decor style. Authentic iridescent Abalone shells inlaid in clear resin on a black base. The shells can be seen from the top and the side creating a 3-D effect. Very nice.
Sits on three round clear resin feet. The black glass 3.5″ ashtray is removable. Two abalone shells can be seen protruding through the base. The resin holder measures 8″ long, 5.75 at widest and .75″ tall.
Awesome example of vintage modernist atomic decor design. It’s in excellent shape. Tripod feet have expected aged bottom-wear. Sturdy, useful and beautiful.
