Famous maker art glass ashtray doubles as a paperweight and candle holder.
St. Clair is a family of glass makers from Elmwood NJ, USA. The St. Clair glassworks was established in 1941. Today, a descendent Joe St. Clair continues to make paperweight style art glass. This is unsigned, which indicates it is not new. We cannot positively identify the age.
Thick blue tint glass with filament, pin cushion bubbles and frit decor. This ashtray is also a paperweight, and could be used as a candle holder or incense burner too. Four medium-size rests and a deep bowl. Measures 3.5″ wide and 2.25″ tall. Weighs 1.5 lbs.
