Rare form and color. The oval ellipse form first appeared in 1962. The distinctive muted light purple color, called Thistle, was offered by Viking beginning in 1967 and then discontinued in 1969. This ashtray, in the thistle color, was only produced for 2 years. Beautiful, rare ashtray in pristine condition. Measures 7″ long, 4½” wide and 1½” at tallest.
