Stunning smoke set from 1960s-1970s Italy.
Stamped “Italy” on the base of the ashtray. Made by Rosenthal-Netter. Retro mod hippie decor. Both items are huge and hand-made from a dark reddish brown pottery. Hand decorated with super hi-gloss black glaze and white horizontal circle stripes.
The chromed lighter is still bright and shiny. “Made in Japan” is marked on the lighter mechanism. The lighter stands 7″ tall. The ashtray weighs 3 lbs, measures 9.5″ wide and 2″ tall. The “Cheap Bastard” cigar in image 3 is 6.75″ long. Groovy examples of Gambone/Fantoni era art pottery by famous Italian maker Rosenthal-Netter.
