Beautiful ashtray in pressed opaque glass with detailed elephant.
This ashtray dates from the depression years, at least 60 years old. Made by L.E. Smith, a prolific American glass maker in business from the early to mid 20th century. When held to the light, the color shows dark amethyst.
Wide rests, large enough for cigars. Half inch deep ash receiving well encircling elephant. Round ashtray measures 6.5″ at widest, girth of 19″, 3.5″ tall.
