Blenko Art Glass part no. 693. This is the third design of 1969. Truly retro from the “Peace & Love” generation. Made in the 1960s to early 1970s. Inspired by nature.
Hand formed with irregular vertical lines giving an illusion of organic material. Deep pressed peaks and valleys on the backside cause the smooth top surface to undulate, almost shimmer, with varying intensities of the beautiful dark orange and yellow color. Looks like a lava pit.
Perfect patio or lounge ashtray. Works well for cigars, spliffs, or candles / incense. Large flat ledges provide level rests. Very heavy. Weighs 3½ lbs, measures 7½” long, 7″ at widest and 1½” tall.
