Rare beauty designed and signed by Holmegaard’s mid-century artistic director “Per Lutken”.
Popular modernist era clam shell form in translucent smoked black/moss green. Heavy glass, weighs 2.5 lbs, measures 6″ long, 5″ wide and 2.25″ tall. Etched Per Lutken signature marked 1960. Lutken worked for Holmegaard (Denmark) from 1942 to 1998.
Supports cigars and smaller smokes. Nice deep bowl. Glass is blown from mold with heat finishing by hand and polished base.
This design was part of the Akva series, in production from 1953 to 1974. Holmegaard part no. 3410001.
