Description
English Hobnail milk glass ashtray. Thick and sturdy. Perfect for cigars.
Made in the 1930’s to 1950’s by Westmoreland Glass, U.S.A.. Westmoreland Glass was an elegant glass maker of the early to mid-20th century, USA. The company is no longer in business.
This large ashtray was well designed in form and function. Stands on three feet, holding it above the surface preventing bottom-wear to the ashtray and the surface. Sports three long and level ramp rests accommodating large cigars to the smallest of smokes. Rest float over a 3″ deep bowl to catch and retain debris.
Ashtray measures 3½” tall, 5½” round and weighs 1½ lbs. In perfect condition. Cigar shown is a 5½” long fatty.
Quality vintage glass in the English hobnail pattern. English Hobnails are flattened with four points. Normal hobnail pattern is rounded.
Highly useful for it’s purpose and in decor friendly color.
